Frequently asked questions
About the POSitouch payroll and QuickBooks interfaces. Something else? Send us a message.
General
Is there a free trial?
Yes. Both interfaces come with a 30-day, no-obligation free trial. No credit card is needed.
What does it cost?
iPOS Payroll for POSitouch is $15 per location per month. iPOS GL for POSitouch (QuickBooks Desktop or QuickBooks Online) is $20 per location per month. Support and product updates are included. There is no long-term contract and you can cancel anytime.
Do I have to change POS, payroll, or accounting systems?
No. The interfaces read the data your POSitouch system already keeps and send it to the payroll provider and the QuickBooks Desktop or QuickBooks Online company you already use.
Do you have interfaces for other POS systems?
Yes. InControl Solutions also builds payroll and accounting interfaces for Toast, Aloha, Micros, and other restaurant POS systems. See pos2payroll.com and incontrolpos.com.
POSitouch to payroll
Which payroll providers are supported?
All the major ones, including ADP, Paychex, Paylocity, Paycom, Paycor, iSolved, UKG (Kronos), Heartland, Fourth, Millennium, NetChex, Pyramid, Sage, and QuickBooks. See the full list on the payroll providers page. If yours is not listed, ask us.
How does a pay period work with the payroll interface?
Edit punches in POSitouch as you do today. When the pay period is ready, select Create Pay. iPOS Payroll builds the pay data in the format your payroll provider imports, so nobody re-keys hours into the pay grid.
POSitouch to QuickBooks
Does iPOS GL work with QuickBooks Desktop and QuickBooks Online?
Yes. iPOS GL supports both QuickBooks Desktop and QuickBooks Online. Tell us which one you use when you start your free trial.
What does iPOS GL send to QuickBooks?
The POSitouch sales journal for the date you select, as a journal entry that balances to the POSitouch sales journal report. Sales journal items are mapped to your QuickBooks chart of accounts, and you can group items into summary lines.
Does iPOS GL work for more than one store?
Yes. It supports single and multi-store operations in one interface, and it supports multiple QuickBooks company files.
Does iPOS GL have to run on the POSitouch back-office PC?
No. iPOS GL is designed to be used off site from the POSitouch BOH PC, so your bookkeeper can run it from the office.
What happens when a new item shows up in the sales journal?
Exception triggers let you know when new items appear in the sales journal data, so you can map them before posting.
Stop hand keying POSitouch data.
Try either interface free for 30 days. No credit card, no long-term contract.
